About Morphettville

Housing is mostly post-war brick homes and solid bungalows, many on decent-sized blocks. A good number have been replaced or subdivided, so newer courtyard homes, townhouses and unit groups are common on streets like Rosedale Avenue and Gordon Terrace. The southern half of the suburb, towards Oaklands Road, is almost all residential, with the Sturt River running through it.

The Glenelg tram line forms the northern edge, giving direct trips to Glenelg and the city. Morphett Road and Oaklands Road connect to Westfield Marion and Brighton. Kellett Reserve on Denham Avenue is home to the Morphettville Park Football Club. Dara School is on Gordon Terrace, and Morphettville Racecourse sits just over the tram line.
